Privacy notice

VanBuddy Limited ("VanBuddy", "we") is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Contact: sales@vanbuddy.ie.

What we collect

  • Enquiries and finance quotes: your name, phone number, email, the van you're interested in, and the answers you give (for example business type, budget, deposit and term).
  • How you found us: the page you landed on and advertising campaign details (such as UTM parameters or ad click IDs), so we know which advertising works.
  • Visit counts: we count which pages are viewed and which website sent the visit, without cookies. We don't store your IP address or anything that identifies you.
  • Cookies and analytics: analytics and advertising cookies only if you accept them. Before you choose, Google receives only cookie-free signals (Google Consent Mode). See our cookie policy.

We do not ask for your PPS number or date of birth on this website.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and arrange the sale of a van (steps taken at your request before entering a contract).
  • To prepare a finance quote: with your consent, we share your quote details with Capitalflow Commercial Finance, who will contact you and handle any application under their own privacy notice.
  • To measure and improve our advertising and website (our legitimate interests, and your consent where cookies are involved).
  • To send you new stock and offers, only if you opted in. You can opt out at any time.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a sale are deleted after 24 months. Sales records are kept for as long as the law requires (generally six years for accounting purposes).

Who we share it with

Our finance provider (with your consent), and service providers who host our website, database and email on our behalf, under contracts that protect your data. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing sales@vanbuddy.ie. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
